ABOUT US
We honor traditions
In the 16th century, the father of cut crystal, Caspar Lehmann, discovered the excellence of cutting glass with diamonds. In the same way, only more technologically proficient,
we do that today too.
The glassmaking craft has a tradition in Slovakia that dates back six centuries. The focus of the quality of Slovak glass, then and later, was on metallurgical techniques, a sense of form and skillful execution. The siliceous raw material extracted from the earth is transformed into a sparkling crystal in the glow of high heat, where light combines with shadow in an ever-changing color spectrum.
A precise art form
In 1998, experienced glass cutters led by Emília Fisterová founded a company focused on cutting crystal products. More than 20 years have passed since then, and today the company is on the threshold of a new stage. It is headed by Erik Fister, who has taken over the management of the new company Fister Crystal.
A new name. A new design. A new beginning. But not everything has to be new. We are preserving the tradition of precise art for future generations. We do not want a craft that is slowly dying to meet an inglorious end.
